FAQ
The questions we get most.
If your question isn't here, the contact form is the right next step. We answer within one business day.
What's your fee structure?
+
25% of first-year total compensation for contingency searches. Retained engagements are quoted per search, typically three milestone payments tied to delivery. Project-based hiring is fixed-price after the intake call.
Do you replace candidates who don't work out?
+
Yes. Every placement carries a 90-day replacement guarantee. The exact terms are written into every engagement letter so there's no ambiguity if a placement leaves early.
How fast is your shortlist?
+
Senior individual contributor through director: 10 business days for a written shortlist of 5 scorecard-rated candidates. VP and Head-of: 20 business days. Project-based (6+ roles): a weekly hiring scorecard until the team is built.
Will you run a search for hyperscale clients?
+
If the role is on the construction or operations side, yes. We won't take cloud SWE or product roles. We're a critical-infrastructure firm, not a tech-generalist firm.
Can you find candidates that aren't on LinkedIn?
+
Yes, and most of the senior commissioning and electrical talent we place is either off LinkedIn or has a profile so thin you'd never find them through a search. The closed-universe map is what makes the difference.
Do you push candidates into your client's ATS?
+
We deliver shortlists as PDFs or in your ATS, whichever you prefer. We do not bulk-submit candidates. Every introduction is reviewed by Trent before it lands in your inbox.
Who owns the relationship after placement?
+
You do, fully. We don't recruit candidates back out of clients we've placed them into. That's table-stakes for retained search and we extend it to contingency as well.
What are your payment terms?
+
Net 30 on contingency. Retained engagements are billed at the milestones in the engagement letter (typically: retainer, shortlist, placement).
